Art installation at Havana South, Portland, Maine.

Havana 1b

Havana South is a cousin to Havana in Bar Harbor which opened in 1999. Havana South features a great atmosphere, extensive wine list, knowledgeable staff and a sophisticated Latin inspired menu. Havana South hired the Sunne Savage Gallery, Winchester, MA, to assist with décor.  Havana South selected a number of Cassie Jones’s popular paintings on duralar as well as four vintage car portraits by Michael Wilson. Jones, Brunswick, ME; and Wilson, Waltham, MA; will be in attendance during Portland’s First Friday Art Walk, October 1st 5-7pm, and their works and are available for purchase through the gallery. Please contact Christina Godfrey with inquiries.

Havana 4Havana South is committed to serving local and organic meats, produce and seafood and will search out New England farmers and fisherfolk to purchase products that are not only great tasting, but great for the environment and local economy. The recent addition of artwork by New England artists further exemplifies the restaurant’s dedication to supporting the region.
